A root zone of its own for every vining plant
The Dutch bucket, also called a Bato bucket, is the standard container for growing tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and other vining crops hydroponically. Each bucket holds an inert medium such as perlite or Leca, is fed by a drip line and drains its excess into a return line, so every plant gets its own root zone within one shared system.
Line the buckets up along a single feed and return pipe to build a system that grows from a few plants to a full greenhouse row. It is supplied by Habitat Hydroponics in Windhoek, Namibia. Pair it with Perlite Growing Medium for a free-draining fill.
