Vermiculite is a lightweight, sterile mineral medium that holds both moisture and air around plant roots, giving seedlings and cuttings a steady, well-aerated base to establish in. It absorbs more than 400% of its own weight in water, so it keeps your growing media evenly moist and cuts down how often you need to irrigate.
Heat-expanded into soft, worm-like flakes, it is clean to handle, insoluble in water and completely safe to use. It works on its own for propagation or blended into potting and coco mixes to lift water retention, and it is stocked locally in Windhoek, Namibia for fast delivery.
Pair it with Perlite when a mix needs extra drainage alongside vermiculite’s moisture-holding.
